Below are the minimum requirements needed for high school graduation. Additional requirements are needed for College/University Admissions and those seeking the AICE Diploma, Scholar Diploma Designation or Merit Diploma Designation.
A total of 24 credits are required for a standard high school diploma. Students must successfully complete the following coursework:

English: 4 credits required: ELA Honors, AP, AICE and Dual Enrollment courses satisfy this requirement
|
|
Math: 4 credits required: Must include Algebra 1 & Geometry. Industry certifications that lead to college credit may substitute for up to two mathematics credits (except for Algebra 1 & Geometry)
*Only one math credit earned at the middle school level can count towards the 4 required in High School
|
|
Science: 3 credits required: Must include one equally rigorous Physical Science, Biology, & one Science credit. Industry certifications that lead to college credit may substitute for up to one Science credit (except for Biology)
|
|
Social Studies: 3 credits required: must include World History, U.S. History, ½ American Government, ½ Economics credit.
|
|
Performing Arts, Fine Arts or Practical Arts: 1 credit required
|
|
Physical Education: 1 credit required ½ credit of Personal Fitness and ½ credit of a P.E. class
|
|
Elective Credits: 8 credits required
New graduation requirement for students entering 9th grade: ½ credit in personal financial literacy course
|
|
Community Service: 20 hours
|
|
Virtual Credit: 1 course
FLVS, PB Virtual or an online dual enrollment course earned
|
Additional Requirements

A cumulative grade point average of 2.0 is needed in ALL high school credit courses.

A passing score on the 10th grade FSA ELA Reading and Algebra I or concordant score on the Geometry EOC.

Students enrolled in the following courses must participate in the corresponding EOC Assessment which constitutes 30% of the final course grade.
